The Conk Naquin Memorial Golf Classic is vying to be the best golf tournament in the area. We have really stepped it up this year. From a super pre‐tournament party, to fast play, plenty of food and drink on the course, to a post‐tournament awards party— We Are There!

We’ll begin with the Pre‐Classic Extravaganza, a terrific party on Thursday, April 24th at Boomtown in Harvey from 7:00‐9:00 PM. You’ll be treated to an open bar and a dinner of prime rib and fish. There will be prize drawings just for golfers in attendance. You could win a set of eight Mizuno MP-60 Irons, three Mizuno MP-T Wedges or Turtle 2 Golf Travel Bag. This is free to all golfers registered and paid by April 20th. There will be Door Prize Drawings also. Each golfer will be able to buy one additional ticket to the Extravaganza.

The next day we will begin with our pre‐tournament meal starting at 11:30 AM and tee‐ off at 1:00 PM. Following play there will be a 1 1⁄2 hour open bar Cocktail Party where team and individual awards will be presented.

Of course you’ll have a great day of fun and food and the camaraderie that can only be found on the golf course—all for the benefit of the Tulane Athletic program.

Tulane Coaches on the Course
Joining Head Football Coach Bob Toledo and Head Men's Basketball Coach Dave Dickerson for a fun day at the Classic will be Men's Basketball Coach Dick Bender and Men's Football Coaches Greg Davis, Dan Dodd and Mark Hutson.

Tulane Athletes to Head to Classic
The Classic and its Players are in for a special treat this year as about thirty of our great Scholar-Athletes are coming out to the Classic to not only assist on the course and during registration, but to manage several of the on-course contests. It will give the Classic Golfers an opportunity to meet our future leaders in the community.

Jim Cook First Player to Register
In less than an hour after opening registration and sending out our first email, Jim Cook became our first Player. Jim, a Player from last year, said that the Classic is a highlight of his golfing year.

Houston Alumni Association First Hole Sponsor
Alan Bern, President of the Tulane Alumni Association, Houston Club beat everyone to the punch. In late February, the Classic received its first Hole Sponsor for 2008. Thanks to Alan and the Houston Tulane Alumni Association.

It's Bigger and Better with a Pre-Classic Dinner Party on Thursday night where golfers have a chance to win super prizes. Great food on course—Cold, Cold beverages—Super Goody Bag—Awards Cocktail Reception—and plenty more.
